For Hip-Hop fans who are interested in rap that is both bracing and versatile, there is no need to look any farther.
Penhead, a Michigan native who was raised in Harrisburg Pennsylvania, is a cutting edge artist who describes his music as
being “conscience minded”.
Penhead uses his music as an outlet to speak about things such as the streets
and political issues, as well as any current situations, which he feels the need to address. Instead of only aiming in one
direction with his music, Penhead wishes to be diverse by touching a wide range of topics. Penhead has been influenced by
some of the most respected and well-acknowledged entertainers including Chuck D, Scarface, Mobb Deep and Tupac.
Already respected and on his way to being as well acknowledged as those entertainers
he his influenced by, Penhead perfects his skills by performing at places like Remy’s, a club located in Harrisburg. Other then his energizing live performances, the rhymes of Penhead can be heard on
his recordings.
Having been an emcee for 14 years, he first appeared on the Make It Happen
Entertainment compilation “Da Ambush.” In 2003, he appeared on another Make It Happen Entertainment
compilation entitled “Life, Music & Paper” in which he
contributed to the title track, and a song entitled “Choices”.
In addition to his appearances on these two-compilation cd’s, Penhead
also had a solo release in 2002 called “Paramount.” Hip-Hop listeners who are interested in unique rhymes
that are backed up by energizing beats should check out both Penhead’s live performances and his recording efforts.
